The Trauma of Traveling in Indian Trains ( 3AC Coaches)

I'm a Vagabond(Gypsy) kind of a person, who commute through out India for my Job chores.
I often choose Trains coz its quite comfortable and I'm Energy Efficient. ( company doesn't fly me often. That's the right reason)

But things have been changed in last 2 years. Well, people have changed, they are more selfish these days.

These are the some of the Trauma I profoundly experience in the Indian Railways.

Travelling in Indian Trains ( 3 AC ) is such a pain in the ass. Why ? I'll tell you Why,

1. I just don't get one thing, How do you ppl sleep in others birth without a slightest awareness that the birth you are sleeping is allotted to other person, who might board the train any moment ? What if it's a Old Lady/ Old Man?? Well, they just don't care, they also use your Pillows, Bedspreads, and Blankets, the Indian Railway generously provide you. ( the quality of these discussed below).
There I board the Train in some remote creepy station in the middle of the night, run towards the coach lugging, scream and bang the doors as the coach attend staff will be snoring like a pig drunk in most of the cases, wander in to my birth with my mobile torch on, there it is someone sleeping on birth. I recheck the no. once again & then nod the person sleeping. He/She only wake up after the repetitive nodding & the weird noises I chant in their ears. If they don't and behave cocky I hunt the TTR, confront and kick their ass.
And there he/she starts with the justification(May be they by-heart these things ), "Sir (Seldomly someone adress me that), My family is right here. Do you mind switching to my seat which is in the next compartment ?" or some go like " My Fathers had a By-Pass surgery, he can't climb to the upper birth, can you pls...?? ". If its a Woman or senior citizens or any serious health issue I acknowledge and switch or else I lie to them I have a Heart issue. Have you seen ppl face when you ignore their request?? They are so judgmental.

2. If your lugging 2 or more suitcases with you, your so screwed, its better you don't fall into the trap and straight away refuse to switch. Coz more often You'll be unable to place your luggage below the seat. Why do ppl carry luggages as of they are on a world tour? I never know.

3. Your Pillow, Bed Spreads and The Blanket.
If you find these stuff on your birth, you are devoutly blessed, buddy. If not you better start chasing the coach attendant and Oh boy, he's not that easy to find. Your better chance to find, is near restrooms in one of the coaches of course sleeping drunk.
Let's talk about Blankets and Pillow covers. The pillow cover stinks with ppl sweats & you just can't bear the stench.
Blanket, Woaah, it has all the dust and the quality to cause you a breathing issue. Oh, I'm not exaggerating here, I have inquired & they clean them once a Month. You better not cover your face with that thing.

4. The Only amusement , I witness when train's packed, is the RAC ppl who keep on wandering looking for TTR, follow him wherever he go, I once followed him to the rest room too & then he ranted to get out and yelled "No Seat for you!". (well, I made that up)
Some of them convince other passengers to sleep in 69 position in the births and it's hilarious. I'm fortunate enough to witness these stuff. Quite a scene.

5. The Thermostat setting of the Air-conditioning. The coach staff just don't get it, they increase the temp. in winter, decrease in summer. The incompetency. Damn !
At night, I sometimes feel like a dead meat inside a refrigerator.

I hope someone in the railway dept. read this blog and atleast built some codes, practises, & bring discipline in the Indian Railways.

So, it's just a part of my agony, I witness in my day to day life.
